So we’ve spent the past week counting down some the best (and worst) of 2012, and on the first day of the new year we will revisit the two biggest accolades of 2012. We will start with Album of the Year, and follow up with Artist of the Year in about 15 minutes. There wasn’t much argument here as only two albums were chosen, between the four of us and it was split right down the middle.
It’s our final look back at the year 2012, and that leads us to our final award for the year, Artist of the Year, this one gets a little heated, as Cody and I go back and forth trying to justify our choices, one of which comes out of left field. We’ll let you decide who the winner is. Three artist chosen, as two of us chose the same artist.
Since its Saturday night so no better time for us to continue with our best of 2012 with the caveat club bangers of 2012. There was a lot to choose from from the rachet, to the classic bangers, to the house beats that make you want to first-pump like a champ. Check out our biggest club bangers of 2012.
Continuing our Thoughts of a Jeanius End of 2012 Awards, we bring you the crew’s picks for remix of the year, well most of the crew anyways. We have a selection from GOOD Music, and an electronic song from.. Cody?! That has to be a first for him. Anyways, here are the picks for remix of the year, drum roll please…
We’re back with our best, but in this case we’re also going to the worst of 2012. Taking a break from music we’re going to look back at some of our Jeaniuses (dumbasses) of the Week, with each one of us choosing the Dumbass of the Year. We all made some interesting selections, and I (Mean Jean) had to mention three others besides my selection, we’ll call it dishonorable mention.
Continuing our picks for the best of 2012, today we will look at some of the best collaborations of 2012. There were certainly some good ones to choose from. Between “Cruel Summer,” which only featured one solo track, as well as a whole bunch of notable collabs. There will be three tracks, as two of us chose the same song.
Continuing our countdown of the best, or in this case worst, of 2012. Today we’re back with our selections of the four most annoying songs of 2012, surprisingly no one chose this so we’ll give it honorable mention:
It’s that time of the year when everyone from Time Magazine, to Billboard, and of course us here at Thoughts of a Jeanius we had to join the party as well. Over the next week, we will post everything from Album, Club Banger, Jeanius (idiot), and artist of the Year, but today we will start with our favorite songs of 2012. There are many songs that could possibly take the spot, but I think the three songs; two of us have the same pick are a diverse selection of 2012.
Naming a child can be a difficult thing so I’ve heard. So many names to go through and making sure your kid isn’t picked on early in life. I’m here to help with the process. One name that you should not give your child is Mike Brown. I have three perfect examples:
Go out and be great today. Be as great as Kanye thought he was sporting the mullet.
Survivor Series gets started with a “bonus” tag-team elimination match Two pink rangers, Brodus Clay, Justin Gabriel, and Tyson Kidd onone team against Tensai (Albert), Primo/Epico, and The token black guys of WWE. Brodus Clay attempts to show off how strong he is but fails miserably at lifting Albert (Tensai). Brodus is easily eliminated after a couple terrible moves. I think its time to retire the Funkasaurus character and let Brodus be the unstoppable beast he can be. Continue reading
