Earlier this week, Kevin Durant generously donated $1 million of his own money to the American Red Cross to help those affected by the tornadoes in Oklahoma — now Durant has enlisted Nike to help even more in relief aid. Durant tweeted that he reached out to Nike to see if they would help in the effort, and of course they agreed.
The Associated Press is reporting that the Interstate 5 bridge over the Skagit River in Washington state has collapsed, sending cars and people into the river. A trooper said the four-lane bridge collapsed at about 7 p.m. (PDT) As of posting time, there has yet to be an official count of how many people were sent into the river.
Former Orlando Magic head coach Stan Van Gundy told Orlando Sentinel columnist Mike Bianchi on his morning radio show that there’s a chance he may never coach again. When Van Gundy was asked if there’s a chance he may never coach again, Van Gundy said, “I guess there’s a chance.”
The Orlando Magic entered tonight’s draft lottery with the best odds to win the top pick, and like the regular season, they came up just short landing the second pick. The Magic earned the second pick in next month’s June 27 draft after posting the league’s worst record at 20-62.
