Miss Dew is a fresh face to the Orlando music scene, in her interview with Mean Jean and DJ MK she talks about competing in the Orlando Idol competition, which got her a golden ticket to the front of the line for her American Idol audition. She also talks about her two American Idol auditions, whether she’d audition for another TV singing competition, putting together he debut EP, how she came up with the name Miss Dew, and even sang a little Whitney for us.
Blue Kimble went from the NFL gridiron to the set of some of the biggest productions in the movie industry, and believe it or not it was all an accident. Talking to Blue during this interview one thing stood out to me, he was an extremely humble and down to earth dude. He’s been acting for less than two years, and has already been a part of such productions such as; The Hunger Games, The Fast & The Furious 5, and BET’s Being Mary Jane. We talk about all that in our interview with him, in addition to “thuggin’ in the kitchen,” and what types of roles he prefers to do.

Myself and DJ MK had the opportunity to talk with Brandon* about his recently released Rainbow in the Dark album which was released on June 7th and can purchased on Bandcamp. We covered everything from the eclectic style of his music, to his influences, to artists he would like to work with in the future, and the feelings and emotions he wants people to get from his music.

A few weeks back Sean and Nate from 30H!3 stopped by my station, and I had the pleasure to chop it up with them. We talked about everything from their new album Omens, which drops on June 18th, as well as their new single “Back to Life,” (video posted below). They also told us about their new genre they created “Party Ballads,” as well as The Voice and what their first kiss with Ke$ha would be like (I’ll give you a hint, Jack Daniels and glitter.” You can purchase “Back to Life,” or anything else 3OH!3 on iTunes.

My 102 JAMZ homies DJ Young Smitchell, who took a break from his Surge Series, and DJ D Royale (official Orlando Magic fanfest DJ) teamed up to bring create the first installment of the Silent Assassins series. They’re definitely bringing the heat as the mixtape features some of the hottest artist in the game right now including; Rihanna, Lil Wayne, T.I., Tyga, & Wiz Khalifa, just to name a few!
Our friend here at Thoughts of a Jeanius, Antoine “Rhythm” Hart who along with myself and Ivan executive produced Ivan’s Addicted to Success is currently working on another experimental project, Fusion. The project is called Fusion because he plans to “fuze,” different genres and eras of music into one project, there’s also a little video he put together to go along with the track that’s pretty funny. Fusion is planned to be released this spring, make sure to stay tuned for more info on the project.
You all keep an ear/eye out for K1K0 (pronounced Key-Co) Orlando DJ, who’s been DJing since he was 11 years old has jumped into production for about a year now. He has released his 4Round Th3 TRVP Remix of ATC’s 2000 global smash hit “Around the World (La La La La La).”
My homie DJ Young Smitchell, has taken a break from his On the Come Up mixtape series to bring you The Surge Vol. 1, and the title of this mixtape might have been named because he woke up on Saturday Morning decided to make a mixtape and went to work. The mixtape is a dope mix of old and new featuring some of your favorite artists; Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky, 2 Chainz, Drake, Aaliyah, and a special bonus track “That’s Real” by Ivan.
(Post marked sticky, regular posts continue below).
As promised here is the second single to Ivan‘s Addicted to Success mixtape, “That’s Real.” The follow up single to “Everyday(I Pray),” which was released over the summer is very different than the first, ‘Everyday,’ was Ivan’s reintroduction to music as a solo artist. “That’s Real” produced by 4Style_Jordan is a banger about being young, having fun, and chasing dreams.
Lil Wayne fans can finally rejoice. Lil Weezy has finally dropped his long-awaited Dedication 4 mixtape. In typical Wayne fashion, the originally scheduled 4 p.m. release was pushed back until 5 p.m. (EST). By my count, the mixtape was pushed back two separate times before finally getting released on Labor Day.
The tape features Birdman, Nicki Minaj, Young Jeezy, and J. Cole to name a few. The full tracklist can be seen below:
As he did with his breakout 2009 album One Love producer David Guetta is following up his smash Nothing but the Beat album with Nothing but the Beat 2.0, which will be dropping on September 06 and will feature six new tracks. The first being “She Wolf,” (ft. Sia) which dropped last week. Three more tracks leaked tonight, one of which being “Work Hard,” which features Ne-Yo and Akon (who can’t seem to come up with a decent song unless it’s Guetta assisted). The track sample’s Alice Dee Jay’s “Better Off Alone,” and definitely sounds like a hit song.
