Jim Rome’s New Syndicated Radio Contract Reportedly Worth $30 Million Dollars

On Thursday morning, when I opened my CBS Radio email and saw that Jim Rome had signed on with CBS Radio I thought it was pretty cool, it still is, but the money that his deal is reportedly worth might be a little different.

Rome, who is leaving ESPN after an eight year stint with the “worldwide leader in sports,” is reportedly heading to CBS Radio syndicated for a deal worth $30 million per year.

Rome’s deal for the syndicated “The Jim Rome Show,” is higher than any athlete’s base salary. Wow, I think it’s absolutely nuts that someone is making more money than the athletes they are paid to speak about. Absolutely crazy, do you think Rome is worth this salary? Hit the comments and let me know.
